Exhibitor Tutorials and Events at SLAS2016
SLAS2016 affords exhibitors the ability to connect with customers both on the exhibition floor and through hosted events held in conjunction with the conference and exhibition. A complete schedule of exhibitor tutorials and events will be posted in October, 2015.
Note that all events or activities planned by exhibiting companies must be pre-approved by SLAS.

Exhibitor Tutorials

Exhibitor tutorials are an important part of the SLAS2016 program and a great way to connect with SLAS2016 attendees. These sessions are held at the San Diego Convention Center and space is booked directly through SLAS. Fees below do not include food/beverage. Once space is confirmed food/beverage orders can be arranged with the facility directly.
Exhibitor tutorials are available in 45-minute, 75-minute, or 120-minute time slots. A limited number of tutorial slots are available, and exhibitors may only request up to two tutorial slots. If additional slots are requested, requests will be put on a waiting list until November 1, 2015. After this date exhibitors will be allowed to secure additional tutorial time slots in the order in which the forms have been received based on room availability.
Exhibitors have the option to upgrade their tutorial to include video recording, produced by Biocompare.

Tutorial Descriptions and Event Scheduler
Tutorial descriptions will be listed in the online event scheduler prior to the conference, and in the SLAS2016 Conference App on-site. In order to be included in the Event Scheduler, exhibitor tutorial applications and descriptions must be received by January 4, 2016. Any application and or description received after January 4, 2016, will be promoted in the SLAS2016 Conference App only (based on availability and acceptance).
Please note:
- Rooms will be assigned based on the order of receipt of the completed from and full payment of the tutorial and/or exhibit floor meeting space. Companies may list time slots preferences.
- Pre-conference advertising of the event is the responsibility of the host company. SLAS2016 recommends submitting your application early as tutorial and/or exhibit meeting space will be posted on the SLAS2016 website as received, providing more visibility to your tutorial and/or exhibit floor meeting space.
- Rooms are available only to companies that have rented exhibit booth space at the conference.
- All catering costs are the responsibility of the host company. SLAS2016 will provide contacts to order these items upon confirmation of the application.
- All rooms will be set in classroom style for 50 people. Rooms will automatically be supplied with audio visual (AV) equipment: LCD projector, screen, podium and microphone. Additional AV equipment is the responsibility of the host company.
- If slots are available on November 1, companies will be given the option to request additional tutorial space.

Meeting Space Requests at SLAS2016 Official Hotels
Note that all events or activities planned by exhibiting companies must be pre-approved by SLAS.
SLAS has allocated blocks of time within the SLAS2016 program where exhibitors may book meeting space for internal or hosted events so as not to conflict with official conference events or programming as noted in the exhibitor contract. All meeting space at the San Diego Convention Center and both official conference hotels are controlled by SLAS during the official event dates and SLAS may choose to release space to exhibitors based on availability.
Please note: Meeting rooms at the San Diego Convention Center are not available. Please see the section below regarding Meeting Rooms on the Exhibition Floor for options at the convention center.

- Meeting space requests should not conflict with official SLAS2016 functions.
- All meeting space at hotels is contractually controlled by SLAS during the annual meeting. All calls to the hotel will be directed to SLAS.
- Please first contact Amy McGorry to submit a request for meeting space at official hotels.
- In your email request, be sure to include:
- Date & Start/End time for your request
- Number of people expected
- Internal or Hosted Meeting (see above)
- F&B Required
- AV Required
- Preferred Hotel (Hilton, Marquis or Omni)
- Approved Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis based only on hotel availability.
- Hosted events cannot be marketed broadly by the Exhibitor if the approved hours conflict with official SLAS functions.
- Fee of $500.00 per approved function applies to all requests from exhibitors whom do not have sleeping rooms booked at one of the official SLAS2016 hotels (Marriott Marquis or Hilton Bayfront).
- Rental fees/meeting space fees may also be incurred from the hotel(s) directly based on hotel policies and procedures.
- All expenses associated with approved events are the responsibility of the exhibitor.

Varies based on request and event description. Internal sales or training meeting requests may be approved during official SLAS2016 hours provided no attendees or customers are invited.

Meeting Space on Exhibition Floor
SLAS is offering exhibitors to rent a meeting room on the exhibition floor. These rooms are available for exclusive rental for the entire duration of the exhibition open hours (Monday, January 25 - Wednesday, January 27, 2015). There are limited rooms available and reservations are confirmed based on first come, first served.
- Meeting room is a 15" x 15" hard wall room built on the exhibition floor.
- Rooms do not have ceilings and SLAS cannot guarantee acoustic quality or privacy.
- Meeting rooms are inclusive of the following: lockable doors, carpet, one 42" x 84" conference table (seating for 8-10), 8 chairs, one (1) 8" draped table for literature, one trash can, company logo outside the meeting room, daily vacuuming and trash removal.
- Meeting rooms do not include audio-visual equipment, electrical, internet, or food and beverage.
- Exhibitors requiring these series should order them directly from the vendors as listed in the exhibitor manual.
- Exhibitors will be notified of their room assignment via e-mail once payment has been received.
